The need for a Library at Uluru Children's Home?

One of the main reasons India is so poverty stricken is because of illiteracy. Currently more than 40% of the population is unable to read. That is why we want to provide a library at the Home. By doing so, we are not only helping to educate the children to create a future full of possibilities, but access to the library's facilities will be made available to the surrounding communities. It is our intention that this library will not only provide a valuable resource for a lot of people but will also improve the literacy rate in the overall area.

Books will be available in Tamil, English, French and Hindi covering a wide range of subjects from agricultural techniques, healthcare and medicine through to economics and business.
